About Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen, born May 13, 1993, is an American country music singer-songwriter. He got his start in season six of The Voice as a member of Usher’s team initially. Though he later joined Adam Levine’s team. While he was eliminated in the playoffs of that season, he impressed Panacea Records who signed him on their label. And he later released his debut EP, Stand Alone, in 2015.
Wallen released his debut album, If I Know Me under the Big Loud label, in 2018. The album was noted for the singles “Up Down”, “Whiskey Glasses”, and “Chasing You”, which helped propel the album to the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It was clear to any country music fan that Wallen was a hot new sensation who would be going places.
This prediction turned out correct with the release of Dangerous: The Double Album on January 2021. This album was the only country album in the 64-year history of the Billboard 200 to spend its first seven weeks at #1. In fact, it spent a total of ten weeks at the top spot, a record that had only been met by Whitney Houston’s “Whitney” in 1987. This album included several Billboard #1 hit singles “More Than My Hometown” and “7 Summers” to name a few.
Since then, Wallen had dealt with controversy over his conduct. But despite the controversies, he’s still raced up the charts.
